Conventional machines transform the world around us -the physical world. They magnify the power of our bodies and minds. Vehicles, computers, communications devices and weapons become our legs, our brains, our eyes and ears, our teeth and nails. We build machines to feel more secure in an insecure world. We build machines to translate our fantasies into reality.
But we often feel less secure. Deep inside, we know our vulnerability and are troubled.
All great religions tell us that the world around us will change for the better only when our hearts are transformed.. All improvement begins within our hearts.
Metaphysical machines are devices that help us to change ourselves for the better, help us connect with the higher spiritual world, where true security and serenity are found, and help us taste what reality offers. If our hearts are right, our world will be right.
This website is devoted to the creation and distribution of metaphysical machines. The site is an open project. We ask participation. We are looking for spiritually motivated artists who understand our mission.
What is an example of a metaphysical machine? Any object that focuses on inner transformation. A mandala. A Native American dream catcher. A crucifix. A mezuzah. These are traditional objects of worship. What new devices can you imagine and create?
We will present your creations on our site and, if you wish, offer them for sale, if they contribute to our mission. Submissions must positive in nature and pass our approval. For approved devices, we will assist with presentation and description. For devices we market, we charge 20% of the selling price. You ship directly to the customer at your cost.
